Spring Brings Rosé and White Wine!

Introducing Jenny Dawn Cellars Rose and White Wines!

Spring is (in the process of) springing in Wichita, Ks, and the timing couldn't feel better to launch two fresh, relaxing new wines!

In January, Jennifer went out to Napa to taste and design our new Rosé and White Wines, and the result of these blends couldn't be more tasty. We're so very excited to get to share these with our community!

Jennifer enjoyed being involved in the wine mixing process for our new Rose and White Wines.

To give you an idea, our White Wine is a blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Vignoles. Our Rose’ is a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. These two wines are absolutely delicious and we are targeting a release date of April 16, 2018 at our Spring Wine Release Party!

We're so excited to share these with all of you that we compiled some pretty amazing descriptions of how our team has experienced the wines so far.

Desi, our Tasting Room Supervisor, had this to say about her experience with the two wines:

"I brought these two bottles of wine to a friends’ house to try. I absolutely loved both and was so thrilled to share them with my friends. Thanks to the Rose I’m looking forward to spring. I loved the crisp taste of honey dew melon and the sweet aroma of watermelon. I thoroughly enjoyed the floral notes. The White Wine is by far my favorite of Jenny Dawn Cellars wines so far. I am obsessed with the passionfruit and tropical flavors. I want to do nothing more than enjoy a glass of the White Wine on a hammock on a hot, summer day. It’s expressive and exciting and I can’t wait for this to get released for everyone else to try."

Jennifer, Owner of Jenny Dawn Cellars, gave very detailed descriptions of each wine:

"The Jenny Dawn Cellars 2017 Rose’ Wine is a blend of Tempranillo Rose’ and Cabernet Sauvignon Rose’. The wine is light bodied, rose gold in color with aromas of violets, white flowers, citrus, melon, watermelon, and rhubarb. The Rose’ was made by using the saignée method. During the first few hours of making a red wine, some of the juice is bled off and put in a vat to make rosé.

The Jenny Dawn Cellars 2017 White Wine is a blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Vignoles. The wine is light bodied, straw in color with aromas and primary flavors of citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple, green grass and celery. The White Wine is bright, refreshing and crisp."

Jen Cole, Co-Founder of DepICT Media, joined Jennifer on the trip to Napa and enjoyed getting a sneak-peak into how the process works. After trying the wines again this week, Jen has this to say about her experience:

"The white wine is refreshing and quite fruity, a relaxing wine to sip on while giggling with girlfriends on the patio. I always prefer a wine that I can sip on and relax with, and this wine was just that. When I first smelled the Rose’ wine before tasting, I knew that I was going to really love the taste of it. I experienced a fresh, island-breezy aroma. Upon tasting it, I was pleased to experience a summer-y, citrus-y Rose’ that would be perfect for a relaxing summer night outdoors."

Julie Riley, Co-Founder of DepICT Media, had a lot to say about these wines as well, after trying them for her very first time:

"The Rose has a nice citrus aroma that is perfect to enjoy sipping on with a group of friends. It has a tart taste that is perfect for that spring afternoon. The White wine is my favorite Jenny Dawn Cellars wine that I’ve experienced. It has a wonderful floral aroma and a crisp clean taste. I picture a fun warm afternoon on a patio sipping on this wine with my girlfriends. It is the perfect fresh and fruity balance of sweet and dry."

We love that we've received such positive feedback so far about all of our wines, and we're so very excited to share these new wines with our entire community. Wine is always something fun to share with friends and family, and we hope that you will share your own thoughts with us.
